SEE Sustainability Consulting was formed in September 2005 by David Blyth in order to provide sustainability solutions to business. David is an environmental economist who can understand the issues of sustainability from the perspective of both the in-house environmental manager, and the environmental consultant. Over the last 15 years he has attained a unique mix of skills in both economics and environment which allows him to consult on a broad spectrum of sustainability issues.
Prior to establishing SEE Sustainability Consulting, David held the position of Senior Environmental Manager, Umwelt Environmental Consultants (Toronto), Regional Manager, Energetics Pty Ltd (Newcastle & Hunter), Senior Consultant, Energetics Pty Ltd (Melbourne) and Corporate Environmental Manager South Pacific Tyres - a division of Pacific Dunlop (Melbourne).
SEE Sustainability Consulting staff also have qualifications in both science and engineering and have experience across different industries such as power generation, oil and gas, academic research, steel and food and beverage.
We specialise in partnering with businesses to lower energy bills, lower greenhouse emissions, reduce waste management costs and lower water bills.
SEE Sustainability Consulting also "walks the talk" with regard to Corporate Social Responsibility. This includes:
- We use 100% accredited Green Power in the office
- We buy recycled products and Australian made where possible
- We recycle paper, cardboard and co-mingled containers
- We try and support other local businesses in Toronto and Newcastle when purchasing products and services
- The company vehicle (used to visit clients) is a Honda Civic Hybrid which is also offset via Greenfleet
- Carbon offsets are purchased for air travel
- We support flexible work practices by offering part time and casual employment
